Funny story: About 4:30AM last night Brad, Bentley, and I were sleeping comfortably when the loudest crash woke us up. Poor Bentley tried to run off the bed but got tangled in his blanket he sleeps on, and Brad was wildly flailing his arms yelling "What's going on??!!" "What Happened?!?!" Turns out a frame on my nightstand slipped and fell, and slipped into the other frame and they both knocked over creating the most ridiculous noise. I thought someone was breaking in ha, thank god it was only a frame

And now as I sit here, staring at boxes I am getting more and more antsy to move. I am on the hunt for a pub style table and chairs, and another storage cabinet for our china. I am so ready to decorate our new place, not necessarily move, but paint and decorate. I have to restrain myself from buying things right now, since we don't really have a spot for anything else right now, but I will continue to check Hobby Lobby's website every Monday to see what is on sale. I have got to finish my scrapbooks that I started pre-wedding! So the sooner we move the sooner I get back to my scrapbooking.

Shopaholic? No!

This past weekend a friend and I headed to catch the matinee Confessions of a Shopaholic, I think everyone had the same idea, a movie in the crappy weather is a great idea. The movie was funny and cute and I want all of "The Girl in the Green Scarf's" shoes, and wardrobe - minus the hideous bridesmaid dress. Watch the movie to see for yourself, its classic. You would think that seeing the movie would deter one from shopping, not the case, a friend from work so kindly gave me a coupon, now I am one of those people that feels the need to go shopping when I get said coupons, they should get used, they should not be wasted! 30% off total purchase called my name! Thank you Banana Republic for fulfilling my shopping needs, my wardrobe has been enhanced by 3 very cute shirts - at 30% off. Now if I could just find the perfect pair of brown shoes to wear to work, that would be great, or any new shoe would work = )

Packing = Nightmare

So Brad and I are in the process of buying our first house, will post pictures soon for you picture whores. I have finally started the packing process and it makes me want to rip my hair out, going from an apartment to a town home was no problem, but going from the town home to a house is ridiculous, I couldn't imagine packing something bigger than this. I don't think it would be as bad, had we not had ALL of this wedding stuff, don't get me wrong I am grateful for all the wonderful gifts, but to add that on top of all the stuff we have here already is making me want to have a coronary. I have moved every year since 2002, yep that's right I am a pro at moving apartments! I think I am just so ready to move into our house that I keep thinking this stuff will pack itself! The stuff that Brad and I have accumulated in 1 year is unreal, and I come home dreading packing it. It is funny though, the past few mornings I have woken up saying to myself "I am going to come home and pack" but by the time I get home I see all this crap and I shut down ha! Bentley does love to run around all the packing stuff though which is entertaining...If anyone wants to come pack for me I will welcome you with open arms! I know it will be worth it when it is all done, but why can't that be here already?!?!?!

A Whirlwind Weekend

To say this weekend was busy is the understatement of the year, I was ready for Sunday on Friday and you will never hear me say that. This weekend I had to fit in a wedding in San Antonio, and a baby shower in Texas City, for two different friends of course. Brad and I headed to San Antonio for my good college friends wedding. The bride looked beautiful, and the reception was fun! It was great to see some college friends that I hadn't seen well since college, as well as a few others that I didn't get to talk to at our wedding. It was great to be the guest at a wedding!

To make it back for the baby shower, we decided to drive back from San Antonio after the wedding, yep went to San Antonio Saturday afternoon, and came back that night, or nearly 4AM Sunday morning thanks to the time change! Thank You to my loving husband for giving up drinking for lent, he was the DD so he drove us home. I must say that Brad is doing an awesome job with the whole Lent thing - I am not saying he drinks a lot by any means but to have gone to 2 weddings and out with friends and not even had a celebratory glass of champagne takes willpower, I love you honey!

7 hours after returning home, I was back in the car for and hour and a half drive to Texas City for one of my bridesmaids baby showers, she got lots of cute stuff, and is all ready for baby Austin to make his arrival! We can't wait to meet him!

Although this weekend was exhausting, I was happy to be able to stretch myself thin and make it to everything! Congrats to Trisha and Sarah! Another week begins at work, which makes us 1 day closer to moving into our new house, I promise that I intend to start packing tomorrow.....Is it bad that I am already looking forward to next weekend? Oh and anyone that wants to help us paint, we will provide beer and food, (as long as you keep the paint ON the walls!) who's in??

Side note: While I am an avid Target shopper, I have never bought anything off a registry there, I was thoroughly confused on how to match up the bar codes! Has this happened to you, or am I the only dumb one that could not figure it out?

The wedding is over...

So the wedding has come and gone, let me just say it was the most amazing day. Minus a few hiccups of course. Yes I did freak out because I got lost on the way to our hair appointment, and Valerie suggested pig tails, and yes I did freak out because I left my bra at home, and my Coach sunglasses broke. Surprisingly enough, I was not as upset (at that moment) about the glasses, which I miss terribly, and were from my best friend Ang - Sorry Ang!!!!

The whole day was beautiful, and I want to say that deciding to have our wedding reception at Minute Maid Park was probably the best idea ever, I wanted different and I think I got it. I wanted a blow out party and we definitely got it. The food was delicious, the cake looked and tasted amazing, and the dancing didn't stop. I want to repeat that day over and over, Mom and Dad said not on their dime though. So I will cherish the memories and hold the photos very close to me. My girls were there for me all day, and night and I just want to say they are the best group of friends a girl could have. Even putting up with me when I got up pacing at 6am, putting my lip gloss and shoes on, and hiding the fact that a groomsmen forgot his tux in Austin - very funny, and expensive story now though. Brad led the Conga, became an official "Cuban" and helped lead our "Second Line" The workers at the park told us it was "Top 3" that they had seen there, hey we will take it! The year long planning paid off, and I truly believe that it could not have gone any better. I wanted our guests leaving saying that it was the best wedding they had been to, and they did, so it was a success. I think serving the ballpark themed food was also a hit, seeing some of the groomsmen and guests leaving with peanuts and cracker jacks was hilarious.

We headed to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic after the wedding, and did not want to come back to the "real world" but we had to. Our resort was beautiful, we zip lined, went to a private island, Brad got to play golf, and we both got to RELAX!! No.w that the wedd.ing is over, we have the marriage, and ultimately that is what we wanted, but hey it gave us a reason to have a party right?
