Dear Weekend: Super excited to be spending the weekend in Ft. Worth celebrating a wonderful college friends wedding. Drinks for everyone!

 

Dear Mexico: I will be seeing you in 47 days. FORTY-SEVEN, bring it on, I am ready for a frosty bev, I don’t even need a fancy umbrella.

 Dear Furniture Gods: Can you just beam down the perfect living room furniture that makes me AND B happy? Seriously he is pickier than I am.

Dear Feet: You have not been in heels for a while; please don’t get all pissy at me on Saturday night.

Dear Useless iPhone Apps: Thank you for providing endless amounts of entertainment.

 Dear Hubs: So happy that you like your new job, yay for change!

Dear Mom and Dad: I hope yall have an AMAZING time on this ship cruising the Panama Canal, color me jealous, but you both deserve it!

This weekend...

This weekend....hubs and I played softball on Friday night wont the championship and went out for wings after our 2 victories.

...we also went furniture shopping on Saturday, which was a complete FAIL. Pretty sure the sales guy at Ashley furniture was laughing at us, anything I liked B did not and vice versa - back to the drawing board!

...I was successful at finding a dress for this coming weekends wedding in Ft. Worth!

...B and I also met up with Savanah and her soon-to-be hubs at the Texans grill to watch some football - good times!

...Sunday morning I got up and played soccer, and now have a bum ankle, but I did get to enjoy brunch after.

...I also shot a maternity session late afternoon on Sunday - sneaks to come!

...after my maternity session I snuggled with the kitty in bed!

Why I Shoot...

Photographs that is.

I always get asked how and why I got into photography.

Sure I minored in Photography in college, and I was the girl that always had a camera in hand, but it is much more than just documenting the day to day events, it is about...

The memories.

 The special moments.

Life's details.

I am not really sure if I have one reason on why I started "shooting" but I know that it is a passion that I have always had - let's face it even my iPhone has 1,300 photos on it. 

People trust me to preserve their memories and that to me is a huge responsibility - and a compliment to my work - the images last a lifetime and tell your story. Your wedding, family, friends - everything in life, it goes by so fast.

Nothing makes me happier than hearing a client say how in love they are with their photos - trust me, every single time it makes my day.

 I have never looked at this like a job sure an income is great but the real reward has been the friendships I have formed and the memories I have made for myself and for others.

I have said it here before and I will say it again - I am so lucky to be where I am with photography - and I have my family and friends to thank for that...and social media because let's face it, that always helps!

I hate that my vacation is over with my BFF

and that I had to leave these 2 this past weekend – miss them already!

That my bag weighed 51 pounds and I had to take something out, so I took part of Turner's present out...fast forward to the security line. This idiot just remembered that finger paints were part of the package. Needless to say it was unwrapped and they were disposed of by security. Major Fail.

 That it is going to take 14-21 days for my new iPhone 5 to ship – hello impatience

 

Believe it or not I hate that I am back in the heat....it was so cold in Arkansas but a nice change!

That the nail lady filed my nails too short for my liking, loving the shellac, the length not so much

Yeah...I also hate that I need to unpack...who wants to do that for me?

oh and traffic? yeah you are back on my hate list, you completely sucked this AM.

Hatin' on Tuesday - Vol. 2

Traffic is something that I will always hate, but I hate it even more when some little kid nearly rear ends and sideswipes me because he is flying down the freeway. 

PS. I hope you felt satisfied for that whole 2 feet you gained on me in traffic.

 

SO True.

 When people do not wave when you let them in your lane. HUGE pet peeve seriously I always wave, you should too.

The days leading up to vacation, they ALWAYS drag, come on Friday!

Cleaning the cat litter box, can I just hire a maid for this one sole purpose??

Also, I hate it when you think your nails are dry and you go to sleep and wake up and your nails have sheet fibers molded into them because they were in fact, not dry.

 The fact that paypal only lets you transfer $500 a month to you bank.

 My iPhone 4 and its home button. DOES. NOT. WORK. 2 More days and I am ready for an upgrade!

How my week went...

Bentley decided that he wanted my cupcake

YAY for starting the day off with a Pumpkin Spice Latte...totally needed after the 5AM workout

I got a bad blister on the inside of my ring finger after crossfit and my rings barely fit...hello chubby finger. 

Bentley loves going outside, he was eye balling the kids down the street

 Saturday we tried out a new pizza place by us the Mellow Mushroom...the spinach dip was really good but we are sticking to Grimaldi's

I got one of my Groopdealz mini baubles in the mail on Saturday and was less than pleased with the mismatching whites...

 We fought the rain Saturday night and went to the Dynamo game, true fans!

...annnnd we got the win!

Rain? What rain....

 

Finished the weekend off with the season premiere of Revenge, 666, and kitty snuggles!
