Turner Bug Turns 1

This post is a little late, but I wanted to share a few photos from my "pseudo" niece's 1st birthday. My best friend Angela threw the best little lady bug themed birthday party for her daughter Turner. I could not miss this milestone so I headed to Dallas to spend the weekend with my bff and little Turner Bug.  I was especially excited to see her since her and the fam have recently moved to Fayetteville. She was offered an anchor job at the 40/29 news station, I know she will do a fabulous job, and I can't wait to go visit.  We did a little shopping, and her wonderful husband put up with us and took us to a local bar to catch some really bad karaoke.  We got up bright and early Sunday to get everything ready for Turner's party! Here are a few photos from her big day!

Black and White Wednesday

A fellow blogger Ashley suggested that I put my previous entry in for Black and White Wednesdays, but I decided to share a different black and white photo that I took this past weekend. We took a break from watching the World Cup and I snapped this photo of my wonderful friend Becky and her little girl Miss Macy. I normally like more candid shots, but I just love how this photo turned out. Enjoy!

I {Heart} Faces

This weeks theme at I Heart Faces is all about "babies." My husband and I have no babies of our own, but we did head to a friends this last weekend to watch the USA vs England World Cup game (GO USA!!) and my dear friend Becky brought her daughter Macy over to help cheer our boys on. Her dad is currently overseas serving our country, she is very blessed to have such a brave dad, and we all hope he comes home safely!! So here is Miss Macy getting some kisses from one of her many "psuedo" aunts Kristie

I {Heart} Faces

This weeks photo challenge at I Heart Faces is "Play!" This past weekend my husband and I had the chance to babysit my nephew Evan for a few hours so I brought my camera along. He got a kick out of making the jack-in-the-box (or in this case, the sock monkey) pop out then making my husband stick him back in.

Time to Rewind

I did not realize how long it had been since my last post, maybe I did and I just kept saying "oh I will update tomorrow," either way here ya go!

We have been super busy the last couple weeks and shows no signs of slowing down until maybe the end of June (and only for about a week or 2) then it will just pick right back up into July with B's birthday, my dad turning 70, and my dear friends bachelorette party weekend. August is looking pretty open though...

Meet little Miss. Aubrey Lynn (and big brother Brady)

I attended my last baby shower for awhile...ok a few weeks. Seriously all my friends are pregnant. Here are some awesome napkin rings my friend Laurel over at Go Against the Grain made for it. She also made those adorable cupcake flags for a shower a month or so ago, she has some great stuff!

My vacation countdown has also begun, ok it started a couple months ago, but now it is in single digits. 9 days until we leave for our annual river trip Memorial Day weekend, it can't get here soon enough!!
