Ethan

About a month ago one of our long time family friends booked a session for her sons senior photos. First off I could not believe that her son Ethan was graduating high school - I remember when he was born! So it was extra special that his mom Erica asked me to do his photos. We met up in downtown Houston, walked around and got some great shots - he had a great attitude about sporting the lovely cap and gown in the middle of downtown - luckily it was early and not too busy yet! Here is one of the images from his session - and one of my faves.

Black and White Wednesday - Mr. Austin

This past weekend I had the opportunity to take some photos of my wonderful friends son Austin. He turned 1 a couple weeks ago and she wanted some new photos of him. His mom Valerie and I have been friends for about 5 years, we worked together and became fast friends over our love of shopping. We were both in each others weddings and she has always been a great friend. So Sunday afternoon we headed down to a park and let the very mobile Austin run around.

Drake Turns 1

I have not posted all week - oops, but I wanted to share an adorable photo from a session this week. My friend Tammy asked me to take some photos of her adorable little boy, Drake for his first birthday. Cannot believe a year has gone by since this little guy was born! We walked around Old Town Spring, and got some really cute photos - and she also brought along her husbands old red wagon - LOVE!  He was a great model, and loved riding around town in the wagon. This is one of my favorites:

Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!

Eva in Yellow

The theme at I Heart Faces is yellow this week, and how is this not the perfect photo for that prompt? A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to take some photos of this adorable little girl, her parents, and grandparents. She was decked out in this oh so cute outfit complete with little yellow chucks. I love love love little baby shoes, especially baby chucks - they are seriously the cutest things ever.

So meet Eva, and her newest snack - baby chucks

Black and White Wednesday - Married

As I mentioned earlier - I plan on showing you a few images from my friend Gwen's wedding. I can't help it, love the way they turned out, and well that is heavy on my editing plate right now. So here is the happy couple after they said their "I Do's"

Circles

I have not submitted a photo for Shutter Love Tuesday in awhile, but when I saw the prompt this week I knew I had a photo for this. This is another shot from Gwen and Mark's wedding - and it is all about cake! Their cake - was circular and had dots, so it is perfect for the circles theme this week!

May Flowers

A few months ago I got a call from an old friend asking me if I would shoot her wedding. She was originally planning on getting married this August but got accepted into grad school and she and her soon to be husband were packing up and moving to Boston - so they moved up the wedding...to MAY. Moving up the wedding was one thing, but they completely changed venues etc as well. The original wedding was going to be a full reception etc, then the May wedding was going to be small, no party just dinner at a restaurant, then changed to a different venue with a full reception at Hotel Derek. I could not imagine doing all of that in such a short amount of time - oh and I failed to mention she was doing all this planning from Memphis - but her wedding turned out beautiful!

Gwen and I have known each other since we were about 3-4 years old, and I was so happy that she asked me to capture her special day. Her original photographer was not available on her new date so she asked me and I could not have been happier.

I will share more images from their day, but here is a shot from before the ceremony, the bride and her beautiful flowers!
