Rings

I am pretty excited to show this before and after simply because I am pretty happy that I finally got a good ring shot. I always had a problem focusing on rings and I think this shot is my best ring shot yet.

I cannot remember all the steps I used to edit this...

  • Shot using Nikon D5000 with the 17-55/2.8 and SB-600
  • Edited in CS5
  • Zoomed and straightened
  • Rand slight unsharp mask
  • Adjusted levels and curves
  • Cannot remember what else...

    Mr. Dalton

This past weekend my husband and parents headed to New Orleans to see family and for the boys annual Oyster Run. My cousin also set up a family shoot for her coworker - so Sunday, after some time change confusion (thank you clouds!) we headed out to City Park to take some family photos of Vanessa, her husband, their daughter Sophie and son Dalton. This shot is right at the end of the session, but his face is priceless here.

    Emotion

As I was going though photos from my first birthday session for Miss Coley I came across this photo. I think this shows that you can get a great photo even if your eyes are not open. I think she looks adorable in this shot. If I remember correctly her mom and Grandma were singing to her, and she thought it was hilarious.

Before and After - The Happy Couple

Like I mentioned in my previous post - I helped shoot a wedding this past weekend. I am excited to share a few of my favorite shots. I have always loved the whole "veil blowing in the wind" shot - I do not care if it is an "overdone" thing or not, I like it! = ) So here is the happy couple ready to get to their reception.

Black and White Wednesday - A Wedding

This past weekend I had to opportunity to shoot a wedding with my friend Chris with Loudernow Photography. Sadie and Micah were married in a beautiful Catholic church in Anderson, TX. The bride looked gorgeous and they had a beautiful ceremony. Here is a photo from the ceremony:

Also, do you see that new watermark? Yep - that's me - Fleurish Imagery. With my crazy love of everything fleur de lis I think the name is fitting. I have officially have a logo - thanks to my friend Laurel at Go Against the Grain (check her stuff out here, she rocks) and have started my business. I am excited to see what this new adventure will bring - and if you want you can check out my facebook page too.

I Heart Faces - Best Face

It has definitely been awhile since I have posted a photo for I Heart Faces. I thought I would play along this week. The theme is "best face" and I think this photo fits the theme perfectly, and it is one I have not shared yet. Yes this is from Miss Coley's first birthday photos, but it is too cute not to share.

    Brynn in Black and White

I know I have not been posting much - but some things have come up so it might effect my postings. Last weekend I had the opportunity to take some photos of my friend Tara's daughter, and their adorable pooch Bixby. We headed out to Discovery Green for a fun morning of breaking some park rules and kicking the soccer ball around. Here is Tara's daughter Miss Brynn...all grown up!
