I Heart Faces - Pets

I had every intention of submitting the hilarious bath time photo, or an actual normal photo of Bentley. But I came home and Bentley went about his normal routine of rolling around in my shoes...and chewing the heels. He has done this for as long as I can remember, not sure why he does it because surely they do not smell good.I guess it just falls into his long list of quirky things he does.

Scavenger Hunt - I'm Back

I was going to try and make it 4 weeks in a row, but after last weeks craziness I was lazy for a couple of days, but I am back this week! I know you are all excited =) So here are my interpretations this week

1. Holiday Colors - This is our front door decoration. Simple and Cute. I love it
xmas color

2. Winter/Holiday Icon - I got this little guy this year and I think he is super cute. He actually has legs with these clown shoe things on and he is standing next to our fireplace. My husband thinks snow me should not have shoes. But he is cute none the less

3. A Tree - Well it's a tad of a stretch, but here is Bentley sitting UNDER our tree. I think it works, and I know you like seeing a photo of our awesome cat

4. Quiet - I shot this on my drive home from work last week. The sky looked amazing that day I could not resist.

5. Favorite Color - Purple has always been a favorite color of mine. I actually saved my little wal-mart tree I bought a couple years ago and turned it into a purple and silver tree.

Holiday Bokeh = Holiday Cheer

Ok, my blog title is a little lame but I love a good bokeh shot. This is one of my all time favorites too, and it just so happens to be a holiday one. I have shared this a couple times before, but I just love it so much! I will probably take some more holiday photos of some cute ornaments on our tree – but I just had to share this one again! Happy Holidays!

Before and After - Capital Building

I am excited to share this before and after with you. I shot this while I was working our conference in Baton Rouge last week. This is the Old Louisiana State Capital building – it was located next to our hotel so we walked by it every morning.  Isn’t it gorgeous? My coworker and I joked that it didn’t look very old. In fact we pretty much agreed it looks like something Disney built and just dropped there. Never the less, it is still a beautiful building.

Shot with Nikon D5000 using 17-55mm/2.8 lens.

Edited in CS3 - I adjusted the levels/curves a tad. Ran Totally Rad Action Lux - did some minor adjustments there, converted to black and white with an antique tone and added a slight vignette since the sky looked kind of flat

Brooke in Sepia

As mentioned, I am sharing another photo of Miss Brooke. I am going to submit this shot for the sepia challenge at The Photo Freak and for my favorite shot over at Faith's Simplicity blog. This is one of my favorites from this session because Brooke was definitely showing off her sassiness. Her mom, my cousin said this one was one of her favorites as well, so I figured I would enter it as a favorite, and kill 2 birds with one stone and process it in sepia. Enjoy!

Black & White Wednesday - Miss Brooke

A couple of months ago my cousin asked if I could take some photos of her daughter while I was visiting this past weekend, of course I said yes. On Saturday we headed out to City Park in New Orleans walked around the park and got some adorable photos of Miss Brooke, her mom, and her Nona.  Miss Brooke is quite the sassy one, and she hammed it up for the camera!  I will definitely share more, but here is one of my favorites so far!

Zoom Zoom

Being gone for a week has put me severely behind in blog world. After my crazy work schedule last week in Baton Rouge and then heading to New Orleans for the weekend flying back to make my nephews baptism - I was exhausted. Actually that is in understatement. In my mind I guess I thought I would have some time to read and write. Oh well, it's a new week and I have a new photo to share for Touch-Up Tuesday and for Shutter Love Tuesdays

I took this while I was in New Orleans this past weekend. This is the '41 that belonged to my Uncle. My Uncle Sal was a constable in New Orleans a little over 10 years ago, up until he passed away in 1999. You can actually see him pictured in his car HERE. and read about the legacy he created. After he unexpectedly passed away my Aunt Kim became constable, and now her son and my cousin followed in her foot steps. I have always loved this car and it is such a great family memento.
