This past weekend my friend Rachel and I hosted a baby shower for our wondeful friend Erin, who is due to have little Miss. Aubrey Lynn on May 10th (Erin is hoping sooner than that). Although the day started out very rainy, the weather cleared up and the shower turned out great; and she got some great stuff too! I was in charge of making the diaper cake, which I think turned out awesome, and getting the dessert! We ended up getting cupcakes at Treat! - which if you live in the Spring/Woodlands/Tomball area, this place is delish, especially the strawberry cupcake! My friend Laurel over at Go Against the Grain made some adorable cupcake toppers that had her name and it's a girl on them - they looked adorable! Check out her etsy shop, she has some great stuff. Here are some photos

I {Heart} Faces
I love desserts, probably more than the average person. I am definitely a sucker for sweets so when the challenge over at I Heart Faces was "desserts" I knew I had to submit a photo. This past weekend I helped host a shower for my dear friend, and instead of cake we had these yummy cupcakes!

I {Heart} Faces
A photography blog I follow - I Heart Faces has a weekly challenge for readers. This week the challenge is "all about angles" I kept coming back to this photo - I just love the color, and how the guitar looks.

The Joy of Having Pets
The past week has been a tad stressful. Bentley got sick so he headed to the vet Friday, found out he had a UTI and an enlarged bladder, that meant he needed to get sedated and hooked up to an IV and a catheter for 4 days to flush him out and get his bladdar back to it's normal size. That also meant our trip to New Orleans was canceled...let's just say the trip to New Orleans would have been a hell of a lot cheaper, and a lot more fun. He is home, on a new diet, and has 2 bald spots on his legs from the IV's. He is back to normal and we are glad he is back to driving us nuts again.
We did manage to go to the Houston Zoo with some friends and I brought the camera along
And in honor of Saint Patrick's Day...

Celebrating A Cenetarian
You can celebrate being one too...if you live to be 100 years old that is. B's grandmother celebrated her 100th Birthday on Valentine's Day. I have never met anyone that was 100 years old, it is after all a very rare accomplishment, so of course we had to have a celebration. We headed to Round Rock Saturday to see family, friends, and eat cake! Here are a few images from the big 100!

Knock Knock
I promise I am here! The past two weeks I have been reading other blogs and not updating my own...oops! I have been keeping busy with my camera, hosting guests, and celebrating birthdays - oh and enjoying the Saints winning the Superbowl!! I really wanted to break out in a second line down the street after that game.
B and I had a great Valentine's Day weekend, we went to Round Rock to celebrate his Grandma's 100th Birthday, yes that is right 100. I was able to take some great pictures that I will post this week. I can only imagine being alive at 100, B and I were talking about if she ever thought that when she was 50, that her life was only HALF over? So many things she has lived through and experienced.
On Valentine's B and I got cheesecake and hung out all day, playing that ridiculously addicting game "Words With Friends." We did team up an make a delicious dinner. A blog I follow, Est 3.31.07, blogged about a dish from The Pioneer Woman - Chicken Spaghetti, and oh my god, from the picture alone I already wanted to make it, so when B asked what I wanted for dinner, chicken spaghetti is what we had, ok and we also had it for lunch and dinner on Monday as well. Needless to say it was a hit in our household.
What the casserole dish looked like after we devoured the spaghetti. Really everyone should try this. Hope everyone has had a great few weeks and I will update with pics from the 100th Birthday celebration soon!
